The Sunday Premier League games will
open with the match between two bottom dwellers - QPR vs Reading. Either
of the two football clubs are yet to win a game in this season's EPL,
but the bookies are betting on finally seeing a "W" this weekend for the
home team. QPR are currently the last team on the table with just 3
points from three draws, two of them at home, but Reading isn't faring
much better with just a point over their Sunday's opponents and still in
the relegation zone.
Queens Park Rangers actually did
pretty well last week against reborn Arsenal, holding the Gunners to
just 1-0 victory at Emirates Stadium and even that goal was not about
some controversy. So we (and as you can see from the odds below, the
online bookmakers) expect QPR to finally put three points on the tally
this week and move higher on the Barclays Premier League table.
Incidentally, the last game Reading had was also against Arsenal, the
infamous 5-7 defeat in the League Cup midweek. Reading managed to blow
away 4-0 lead over the Gunners and lose the game in extra time. If this
does not sink morale of the club - nothing will. We have to wait until
Sunday to see if the embarrassing League Cup defeat could be used as a
catalyst against QPR this week or not. But looking at the odds, Reading
has a very small chance against QPR.
